Role

iOS prototyping, motion, front-end

Year

2023

Designed to be ignored

Murmur’s best moments happen when the phone is in a pocket. We designed gestures, haptics and voice commands first, then built a quiet interface that only appears when you need it.

Motion as feedback

Waveforms breathe with the audio, chapters snap into place and skip gestures answer with a single tap of haptic feedback. Prototypes were built in SwiftUI from day one.

The app reached 120,000 listeners in its first quarter with no paid acquisition.
